F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Yesterday a friend who I had long forgotten called. NG was never in my close circle of friends. He joined our school in the 11th standard, whereas we had a close knit circle way back from the 4th standard. Try as he might, he could never gate crash into our group. We never allowed him to either. Made fun of him, played a few pranks and generally forgot him after we passed out. NG is maried now, he did invite us to his wedding, but none of us were interested to drop in.
Was I right in my attitude to him for all these years or should I consider myself to be an egotist? Almost all of us conveniently ignore people we dont associate with, thats the way nature made us I guess .....
